GCU Workshops

Singing for the fun of it!

Every year GCU organises workshop sessions to which singers from other choirs all over London are invited. At these events we all just sing through a piece from the standard choral repertoire just for the sheer enjoyment of doing it under the expert guidance of our Music Director Brian Wright and our accompanist Stephen Jones. Details of our workshop events appear on this page.

Summer Sings 2008

In June/July 2008, GCU will be staging its next two Summer Sings – its flagship choral workshop evenings held at our regular rehearsal venue, Baden Powell House, Queen's Gate, London SW7.

Admission is by ticket, which you can order in advance or buy on the door. Bring your own scores or hire them from us on the night for a small hire charge and a returnable deposit. There'll be wine and fruit juice and a chance to socialise too. Why not make a note in your diaries now?

This year's Summer Sings take place on 25 June and 2 July 2008. The works to be tackled are two highly contrasting old favourites. On 25 June, we shall sing through Brahms's Ein Deutsches Requiem, while on 2 July we shall turn to Handel's mighty oratorio Israel in Egypt.

Full details on these events, plus ticket prices, are now available. To download a printable ticket order form, please click here.
